Nach Baliye 4 is hosted by Nach Baliye 3’s winners Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh. And Arjun Rampal, Karishma Kapoor and Farah Khan are the judges of the show. This time there is a lot of talk that the Jodis are not that great but I hope its going to be another big success!!

Jodi No. 1- Jaspal Bhatti and Savita Bhatti. Jaspal Bhatti is a engineering graduate from Punjab University. He is a born actor who projects social issues in the comedy form. I still remember his couple of serials ‘Ulta Pulta’ and ‘Flop Show’ that were coming on Doordarshan. He recently acted in Fanaa which was a big hit.
Jodi No. 2 – Sudeep Sahir and Avantika Sahir. Sudeep Sahir is currently playing role of Karthik in serial Santaan of Star Plus. In past he played the main role in ‘Jabb Love Hua’ of Zee TV. ‘Jabb Love Hua’ was a decent hit of that time and I think credit should go to Sudeep.
Jodi No. 3 – Abhijeet Sawant and Shilpa Sawant. Abhijeet Sawant was the winner of the first Indian Idol. After he won the Indian Idol title he never looked back in his career and he is a successful singer now! Also he was the first runner up of ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar’.

Here are some mother characters that I admire. I am dedicating this blog to different mother characters of different serials and soaps of Indian Television in general and Star Plus in particular!
Godavari “Baa” Thakkar (Sarita Joshi) in ‘Baa Bahu Aur Baby‘. To me she is the best mother. I admire her role as head of the family, though she is dominating in nature. Everybody in the family loves and respects her, so do I. Sarita Joshi has won many awards for this character and she undoubtedly deserves all of them.
Kaushalya (Vibha Chibbar) in ‘Bidaai‘. She is another good mother character. She fits in this role naturally. She is a good mother to her own children Ragini and Vineet, and her nephew Sadhana. After Sadhana’s father death she takes complete care of her.
Vasundhara Rajvansh (Seema Kapoor) in ‘Bidaai’. She is a women who wants to get things done her way, at any cost, she wants everything to happen in her way. She loves her children very much but Aalekh her eldest son does not like her.
Gayatri Juneja (Shama Deshpande) in ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil‘. She is good mother to all of her children especially to Prem even though he is a step son.

Shweta Tiwari born to Ashok K Tiwari and Nirmala Tiwari on 4th October 1980. She got married to Raja Chaudry a struggling actor on 23 december 1999 and got separated in the year 2007. She has a daughter named Palak.
Career:
Shweta got her early education from St.Isabel in Mumbai. At the age of 12, Shweta worked in a travel agency with a salary of Rs. 500/- per month (approx. 10 USD). She did her graduation in commerce from Burhanis College in Mazegaon. She started her acting career from a stage show called ‘ Khoobsoorat Bahu’ and her first TV serial was ‘Aane Waala Pal’ on Doordarshan. The ‘Kalerein’ was the footstep for Shweta from there was no turning back for this actress. ‘Prerna’ was the role in ‘Kasauti Zindagi Kay’ which gave more success and popularity to this great actress. She also participated in ‘Nach Baliye 2’ (with Raja her then husband) but didn’t reach the finals also.

After writing about Kamya Panjabi and Juhi Parmar I thought I must write about Smriti Irani. Smriti Zubin Irani is one of the most popular personality of the Indian Television. She became popular mainly due to her role in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi‘ arguably the best Indian soap so far. Many people know her with her character name Tulsi!!

Smriti Irani’s Father was a owner of a courier business and her mother is from Bengal. Smriti married to her childhood friend Zubin Irani. She has two children Zohr Irani and Zoish Irani and has a step daughter Shainelle Irani (daughter Zubin Irani’s earliar marriage).
Career:
Her earlier days in career were not easy at all. She moved to Mumbai at the age of 18. And at the age of 21 she participated in Miss India contest that too without informing her family. She reached the finals of the Miss India. She worked at McDonalds as a server. For a breakthrough she repeatedly visited various TV production companies and agencies. Finally her hard work paid off she got a chance of doing a commercial for Whisper. That Ad brought a change in her career and later she hosted a TV show called ‘Filmy Batein’.
Her TV serials include the most popular (and the most lengthier) ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ on Star Plus, ‘Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan’ on Star Plus, Virrudh on Sony TV and ‘Teen Bahuraniyaan’ on Zee TV.
Later Smriti Irani also stepped into production with her own entertainment company called Ugraya Entertainment. Her first production was Virrudh and was not a mega hit. In fact she was not able to achieve any big success in production area!
Political Career (if we can call it):
Smriti also contested Loksabha election from Delhi’s Chandni Chowk constituency. She contested on BJP’s ticket. Though she lost very badly to Kapil Sibal (Congress) it made news and talk of the town!

Smriti Irani is in the process of making a tele-series on Mahatma Gandhi. She is planning to shoot her show at all the places where Gandhiji visited! Who will play the role is still not decided, so lets wait and watch.
