On the request of friends I am writing this blog about Harshad Chopra (other related blogs include Juhi Parmar and Kamya Punjabi). Here I have tried to put together few facts about this emerging yet already very popular TV personality.
Update: After Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, Harshad Chopra is seen in Star Plus new serial Tere Liye. Looks like this new serial will beat the records of Kis Desh also! Tere Liye is also from Balaji Telefilms only. All the best to this romantic hero!!

Full name: Harshad Prakash Chopra.
Date of Birth: 19th May 1983
Place of Birth: Gondia (a town near Nagpur, Maharashtra)
Height: 5’10.5″
Hobbies: Sleeping, Eating, Dancing, Dreaming, Gyming, Cooking and listening music
Television Career:
Harshad Chopra became poular through his role “Prem” in “Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil”. His other serials includes “Mamta”,”Left Right Left” and “Amber Dhara”. He also acted in a Bengali movie called “Jutli”.
Though Harshad Chopra’s role in ‘Left Right Left’ on SAB TV did not become very popular, his role along with Aditi Gupta in ‘Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil’ on Star Plus (if you are not a viewer of this excellent serial, read this blog to know the story so far!) is well appreciated and welcomed by mass!
Titles and Awards:
Harshad Chopra Participated in Grasim Mr. India Contest 2006, and won the title of ‘Best Smile’.
Harshad Chopra was nominated in the list of 100 most sexy men of Asia, by a British newspaper “Eastern Eye”.
Harshad Chopra was also first runner-up of Citadel Mr. Pune 2004, where he won the ‘Best Physique’ award.

In this blog I have tried to capture the so far (25th September 2008) story of Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil (a prime time serial of Star Plus).
The story is focused around the romance of Heer and Prem.
Heer’s father (Balraaj Maan) and Prem’s father (Lalit Juneja) commit each other that when thier children grow up, they will make them marry. Lalit Juneja commits and goes to Canada with his family. Lalit Juneja does not calls Balraaj Maan even once in twenty years, so Balraaj thinks that his friend has forgotten his friendship and commitment, so he engages her daughter to Manmeet. Later Balraaj comes to know that his friend has not forgot him and he is coming back to India and so Balraaj feels very happy. As a twist in the story the bus in which Balraaj and his wife was traveling fells in the river and both of them dies.
Heer and Meher (Heer’s sister) sells thier house and give the money to the debtors of their father, and move to there uncle’s house. There Heer’s chachi tells that Lalit Juneja has come with his family, and you know that we can’t say anything to him and so on… so she gives the two sisters the to live in servant quarter. There Heer meet Prem and Prem falls in love with Heer, but suddenly Manmeet’s mother comes to Daljeet that they will still marry Heer. Here Prem’s father commits Daljeet and Balwant that Ashlesha (Daljeet and Balwant’s daughter) and even Prem agrees to it.
The celebration of Heer wedding starts but somehow Prem comes to know that Manmeet and Prashant are twins and lookalike and Manmeet is mad. Prem rushes to the house and tells the truth but no one believes him, even Heer comes to know about Manmeet and Prashant and she excepts Prem’s love and Heer, Meher and Prem leave the home. Few days later Prem’s father comes to know that Heer is none other than his friend balraaj’s daughter and he rushes to railway station to convince her not to go and to tell her that he knows now that she is daughter of Balraaj but she does’nt hear anything and goes into Train. Prem comes to station and however he showing the dupatta he succesfully stops Heer from going anywhere.
